Youth Internships
DRUM (Desis Rising Up and Moving), a social justice organisation of the South Asian Community in New York is kicking off the first-ever Youth Power Internship program. DRUM Youth Power eight-week intensive internship program seeks to empower South Asian youth from low-income communities in grassroots leadership and community activism through a combination of hands-on fieldwork and training.
The program seeks to provide much needed opportunities for youth from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Guyana, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and other parts of the South Asian community in New York City.
DRUM requests individuals/organisations to contribute so that a stipend of $300 can be provided to each low-income youth intern. Cheques or money orders should be payable to The Brecht Forum.
