South African Oscar Pistorius failed to make the final in the men's 400 metres semi-finals at the London Olympics.
Pistorious, who has artificial legs below the knees, finished last with a timing of 46.54. He made history by becoming the first amputee sprinter to compete at the Olympics.
The second semi-final was won by Kirani James of Grenada with a timing of 44.59, while Lalonde Gordon won the first semis with 44.58.
