Ezekiel Kemboi of Kenya won the gold medal in the men's 3000m Steeplechase event at the London Olympics.
Kemboi won the race with a timing of 8:18.56 ahead of Russian Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad, who won his second successive silver medal at the Olympic Games.
Kenyan Abel Kiprop Mutai took the bronze medal.
Olympic champion Kiprop Brimin Kipruto failed to defend his title after he fell on the penultimate lap and never recovered from that setback.
