This was Diana Hayden's second visit to the Rediff office. The first time round, she remained in the shadows, living her role as artiste manager for pop star Anaida.
This time, it was Diana who was in the limelight. And she was quick. Sharp. Witty. Miss India/2 Diana Hayden is obviously quite prepared for a shot at the Miss World crown. Here's wishing her all the very best.

What made you decide to participate? It's seems there were many people who were not too happy with your decision. That a lot of your friends went against you!

Travitz: What made me participate... mmmm... my friends persuaded me to give it a try before I got too old ;-) umm... The only people I can think of who were probably unhappy about my participation were the other 25 contestants!

Judge: I agree, it's the romance of the decade. She was his (Denzil Martins) very first girlfriend. They met now after 50 years. Both spouses having passed away, they fell in love all over again. They each have children and grandchildren and are madly in love. They write love letters everyday to each other and cry on the phone. They intend getting married sometime after the Miss World contest.

Wendy: I'm presently being trained by Shaimak Davar (dance and fitness), Mickey Mehta (diet and fitness), Bharat and Doris Godambe (hair and make-up), Hemant Trevedi and Ritu Kumar (costumes) and Blush (skin treatment).

I mean how can someone judge anything more than just on the superficial level as to what someone is like in such a short period of time. So what do you really achieve by becoming a Miss World.
