Sorry about that, gang, it almost came to a stage where Madan didn't make it here. There is a meeting of the team at 9 pm, o discuss the post-selection scenario, and he is already late, hence the abrupt exit.

Is any sense being made here? The whole talk is directionless, so unfortunately is our manager. He is but a stooge in the hands of the zonal and administrative mafia. I pity Indian cricket. Nothing will ever come out of this talk or other talks. The big boys in the game will want their cake and eat it too and will also get away with it. There is nothing you or I can do about it. You know???

Mr Madan Lal, As a coach how much input you can provide for on the field decisions? Captains like Taylor, Ranatunga are known to study their opposition players very well and plan customized bowling and fielding? How much does SRT study these strategies? Do SRT and you have one-on-one sessions with bowlers and batsmen to share these analysis with them?

Madansaheb, would you revive the Sunday Club. Do you believe that cricket has entered the commercial era and no off-the playing field interaction takes place like in the old days.

Madansaheb, I am of the opinion that the manager and the captain should be in on selection committee meetings. For one, they would be the only ones who could tell the selectors of the 'commitment' of each player. Do you agree?

Srinath 'back to form': Srinath bowling medium pacers instead of pace in the Challenger or wahtever tornament was better than teh rest of our pace bowlers last year.

Mr madan, I think you are wrong in saying that there is no need for a sports psychologist. Given that you are a good cricketer, and are good in cricket logic, but I don't think that you have a better knowledge of the human brain, than a man who has spent his whole life in it's study. It's not without reason that all cricket teams, and players in other sports have sports psychologists. Not recognizing this need means that you have an absolutely closed mind on this issue. Just a question. Ever heard of "choking". That's what happened to Jana Novotna in tennis in the wimbledon final, and that's what happens to the team on many occasions. No amount of workout can solve this problem, for it is a mental thing. The sooner you and the "Board of Dictators" accept this , the sooner will we see some changes in the team performance. And for heaven's sake, PLEASE answer this question. What do you guys think about this ?
