India's Achanta Sharath Kamal has crashed out of the Olympics after losing 4-1 in the 3rd round singles match against defending champion Ma Long.

Kamal put on a brave effort up until the 3rd game that he narrowly lost and could not keep up and eventually lost 7-11, 11-8, 11-13, 4-11, 5-11.
