Middle East Airlines has started service to India.
Owned by the Lebanese government, the airline has Airbus 310 flights to Beirut, Lagos and Abidjan, from where it is possible to get connections to other parts of the Middle East and Africa or to Europe.
- On Tuesdays, ME 637 departs from Bombay at 2140 hours IST and reaches Beirut, Lebanon at 0100 hours local time.
The connecting flight, ME 571 departs from Beirut at 0315 hours local time and arrives in Abidjan, Ivory Coast at 0755 hours local time.
The same flight departs from Abidjan at 0830 hours local time and reaches Lagos, Nigeria at 1130 hours local time.
- On Thursdays, ME 637 departs from Bombay at 2140 hours IST and arrives in Beirut at 0100 hours local time. The flight terminates there.
The one way fare, quoted by agents, from Bombay to Abidjan is Rs 38,310 after discounts; the excursion fare, valid for four months, is Rs 69,445 after discounts.
