The Taj Mahal Hotel in Bombay has renovated and expanded their cake and delicatessen shop, La Patisserie.
The shop offers some 100 types of gourmet food items -- flavoured mousses, cheese cakes, breads, pies, cold cuts, cheese, tortes and chocolates. The delicatessen also sells a variety of flavoured and herbed mustards, vinegars, olive oils. La Patisserie serves freshly baked croissants and pizzas too.
Their small cakes and desserts, like apple strudel and apricot almond pie go for Rs 25 per item. Special pastries and cakes, like tiramisu and a coffee cheese cake, are priced at Rs 70. These prices do not include taxes.
