The second seeded Indo-Bahamian pair lost to Brazillians Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa [ Images ] 5-7, 2-6.

The fourth seeded Brazilians, who did not lose a set in all their four matches in the tournament, earned $36,500 for their triumph.

Croatia's [ Images ] Marin Cilic [ Images ] defeated America Mardy Fish [ Images ] to win the $708,000 men's singles event, a final US Open [ Images ] tune-up.

The sixth-seeded Cilic won 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 in just under two hours.
