Warm send-off for Indian boxers

Vijender SinghThe Beijing bound Indian boxing contingent, comprising of 5 boxers, 2 coaches, a physio and manager, was given a warm send off by the Boxing Federation President Abhay Singh Chautala.

- 'World is now scared of Indian boxers'

The boxers and the coaches were positive and confident that they would give their lifes best performance at the Beijing Olympics 2008.

- Akhil Kumar packs a punch

Chautala wished all the boxers the very best of luck to win a podium finish at the Beijing Olympics and keep India's flag flying high. He said that the whole country had faith in the 5 boxers and were hopeful that the prayers of the millions of Indian boxing lovers will not go in vain.

The Indian contingent left New Delhi Delhi in the early hours of August 2. South African Physiotherapist Heath Mathews will be leaving by a later flight and join the team at Beijing.
