The prospect of three English teams reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League -- and also of an all-English final -- increased on Friday when Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all avoided each other in the quarter-final draw.

Manchester United will face AS Roma, Liverpool, who knocked out holders Barcelona on Tuesday will meet PSV Eindhoven, the conquerors of last season's finalists Arsenal, while Chelsea will face Valencia.

The other quarter-final pits six-time winners AC Milan with four-time winners Bayern Munich.

The draw in Athens also raised the possibility of another Champions League semi-final between Chelsea and Liverpool as happened in 2005 when Liverpool beat Chelsea before defeating AC Milan in the final.

The winners of the Chelsea/Valencia tie will face either PSV or Liverpool in one semi-final, while AS Roma or Manchester United will play either AC Milan or Bayern Munich in the other.

The quarter-finals will take place on April 3-4 and April 10-11 with the semis on April 24-25 and May 1-2.

The final will be in Athens on May 23.
