Vitantonio Liuzzi and Ralf Schumacher finished 19th and 20th respectively for the Vijay Mallya co-owned Force India team during the third day of Formula One testing.

Italian Liuzzi clocked 1 minute 21.194 seconds while German Schumacher, brother of seven-time F1 champion Michael, recorded a best time of 1:21.853 as the two came home slowest among 20 drivers.

BMW Sauber's Polish driver Robert Kubica was the fastest in action on Thursday with a best time of 1m 19.157s -  almost two-tenths of a second quicker than Wednesday's fastest runner Lewis Hamilton of McLaren.

Michael Schumacher, back in Ferrari's F2007 cockpit, clocked the eighth-quickest time with 1:19.885.

Although the programmes of both Liuzzi and Ralf were interrupted by several lengthy red flag periods, the duo managed to gather some significant data on the team's 2008 control systems.

"Overall it was a difficult day with several stoppages, however this morning was quite productive," explained Force India's technical director James Key.

"Tonio got a fair few laps in and gave some good feedback, which seemed to take the car in the right direction and his shorter runs were consistent.

"For Ralf it was more difficult as we had some issues with the car initially, which unfortunately slowed things down, especially as it was his first time with the team and his first without control systems. Over the longer runs it came together pretty well for him though, and he was very consistent," Key said.
