Jeev Milkha Singh looks simply irresistible. The Indian ace soared to grab a share of the lead with a flawless second round of five-under 65 in the season-ending Golf Nippon Series JT Cup at the Tokyo Yomiuri Country Club on Friday.

After rounds of 67 and 65, the Indian shares the halfway lead at eight-under 132, along with Shingo Katayama (66) and Hiroyuki Fujita (67).

On a day when he could do no wrong, Jeev parred the first four holes before picking up his first shot on the fifth. Two more birdies on the seventh and ninth meant he took the turn at three-under.

His back nine was also a bogey-free affair and the Indian managed to sink birdies on the 11th and 17th to round off a highly satisfying day.

Currently ranked 55th, Jeev will have to sustain the form over the next two days. A good finish in the tournament will push him further up in his bid for a top-50 place by the end of the year, which would earn him a dream invite into the US Masters, the year's first Major, next April.

The Asian Tour Order of Merit winner clinched a two-stroke victory at the Casio World Open in Kochi, Japan, last week, for his third title of the year. He won the China Open in April and then scored a surprise triumph at the European Tour's Volvo Masters in Spain at the end of October.
