The All India Football Federation has rejected requests from defending champions East Bengal and Goan side Fransa Pax to replace their injured foreign recruits playing in the ongoing National Football League.

The AIFF Executive Committee which met in New Delhi on Thrusday rejected the requests to replace EB's injured Brazilian medio Douglas Da Silva and a Fransa player in the ONGC Cup.

However, the EC allowed the Kolkata side to replace Douglas with another foreign player for playing him only in the AFC Cup matches.

It was also decided that national coach Stephen Constantine would continue till the end of his contract. In the meanwhile, Constantine will conduct a course for coaches of U-19 and U-16 teams.

He will also conduct a preliminary camp for U-23 players who were selected during the Santhosh Trophy in 2004, an AIFF press release said.

The Committee also approved the amended regulations governing the status, registration and transfer of players which will come into effect from June 1. Accordingly, the first window for transfer of players will be from June 1 to 20 and the second from October 15 to 31.

The new regulations also provide for compensation to clubs and state associations who have nurtured the players.

It was also decided to review the performance of referees, for whom a seminar will be conducted in Goa from March 2-4.

The EC also approved the AIFF Disciplinary Code modelled on the lines of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
