Want to get up close and personal with Narain Karthikeyan?

The opportunity for all F-1 freaks to get a feel of the Indian in yellow overalls as he zooms alongside Michael Schumacher and company in the top circuit is just a click away at the official Jordan web site, where one can read about the colourful history of the famous F-1 team and even order an official Jordan drink!

There are many links vying to catch attention of fans and one is sure to move the mouse to J-Stuff -- here one can get an invitation to join Club Jordan.

"Club Jordan offers a host of benefits aimed at the dedicated F1 fan. It is quite simply the best way to follow Jordan if you like our team and want to get involved. The main focus of Club Jordan is to provide fans with information, access to the team, special offers and discounts on merchandise -- that's what our fans have told us they are after, so that's why we provide it," reads an explanatory note about the club.

Last year Club Jordan offered all this and more in the special Platinum membership at a cool prize tag of 19.95 pounds sterling although the fee is expected to rise in the new season.

The section also offers wallpapers, screensavers, video features and even online insurance.

The thirsty ones will surely get hooked to drinks and the site had two energy drinks -- EJ-10 and V-10 -- on the racks last time around.

EJ-10 is "an exciting new and great tasting energy drink from the precision engineered world of Grand Prix motor racing, developed as a rehydrating energy drink for use by the Jordan F1 Team and their drivers.

"Driving at 200 miles per hour, one inch above the ground, for over 90 minutes tests endurance to the maximum. EJ-10 is the ultimate driver's drink -- it boosts energy, performance and endurance.

"It is an isotonic energy drink, which delivers rapid rehydration and provides sustained energy in situations when you need it most. EJ-10 contains a number of key ingredients designed to help keep the body tuned for maximum performance."

Over the last 12 months, the growth in premium packaged spirits has been phenomenal. V-10, with its striking Jordan branding and refreshing flavour offers a new opportunity in this expanding market, especially amongst male drinkers.

Those who want the F-1 version of cocktail can try V-10 which combines EJ-10 with 2 shots of Vodka and a dash of lime.

The Club Jordan shop has plenty on offer for the rich and lavish who can splurge their pounds on accessories, headgear, ladies range, memorabilia, model cars, race wear, shirts and T-shirts.

Eddie Jordan (EJ) founded the origninal team in 1980 before establishing Jordan Grand Prix in 1990 in preparation for his first season of competition in Formula One.

The first team operated from a lock-up industrial unit inside the grounds of Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire, and several of Jordan Grand Prix's current employees have worked for EJ long before the team competed in F1.

Since 1991, Jordan Grand Prix has been based at a purpose built factory across the road from Silverstone circuit, while a 40 per cent scale wind tunnel five miles away in Brackley was opened in July 1998. The team has grown from 43 employees in its first season to around 200 staff in 2004, according to the web site.

The best performance of the team, which has a total of 18 podium finishes, was two seventh place finishes by German drivers Nick Heidfelt and Timo Glock in Monaco and Canada last season.

The company, which was taken over by Midland Group last month, will compete in 2005 under the name Jordan Grand Prix and the cars will be known as Jordan Toyota EJ15s. And steering the mean machines will be Karthikeyan and Tiago Monteiro of Portugal.
