Sauber said the Canadian, the 1997 champion with Williams who has signed a two-year contract with the Ferrari-powered team, would test in Barcelona on November 26.
"The first day of work in a new team is always something special," said the 33-year-old, who made his comeback with Renault in the last three races of this season after a year on the sidelines following his departure from BAR.
"I'm looking forward to my first test and my first impressions of the C23 with eager anticipation."
