National champion Chetan Anand and Abhinn Shyam Gupta won their respective matches with ease to enter the semi finals of the badminton individual event in the ninth SAF Games in Islamabad on Saturday.

Abhinn defeated Pashupati Paneru of Nepal 15-4, 15-3 while Anand knocked out Balram Thapa of the same country 15-2, 15-5.

Men's (quarterfinals): UDRP Kumara (Sri Lanka) bt WMd Mostafa Jabed (Bangladesh) 17-15, 15-10; Wajid Ali Chaudhary (Pakistan) bt Niluka Karunaratne (Sri Lanka) 15-7, 17-16.
