Teen tennis sensation Sania Mirza beat compatriot Rushmi Chakravarti 6-3, 7-5 in the final to win the US $10,000 professional women's ITF tournament in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Sunday.
Sania had things her way right through. After games went with serve, the Wimbledon girls' doubles champion raced ahead at 4-3 and never looked back as she won the next two games to take the first set in quick time.
The second set saw fortunes fluctuate, with Sania loosening her grip on the game after establishing a healthy 4-1.
The seasoned Rushmi looked like staging a comeback as she took the next two games to cut short Sania's lead.
At 4-3, the game was evenly poised as the two Indians produced some fine tennis and won a game each.
Sania could have taken the set in the tenth game, but at 5-4 she messed up a simple return when on match-point and allowed Rushmi to level scores.
However, she did well to take the next two games and pocket the set at 7-5 and win her sixth professional ITF title.
