India's Sanaa Bhambri became the first seeded player to bow out of the Asian Junior tennis championships as all other top players booked their places in the second round on Tuesday.

The fourth seeded Sanaa was shown the door by Liu Wang-Ting of China. The Chinese won 6-0, 6-2 in a match that lasted an hour and 15 minutes.

Even though the match was not as one-sided as the score line seems to suggest, the Indian south-paw was inconsistent throughout, making errors on crucial occasions.

In other matches, top seed Jan-Yung Chan of Chinese Taipei thrashed India's Nidhi Shah 6-1, 6-2, fifth seed Madura Ranghunathan got the better of E Ashmitha 7-6 (7-2), 7-5 and eighth seed Ankita Bhambri defeated wild card Varsha Dutta 6-0, 6-1 to move into the pre-quarter-finals.

There was no such scare in the boys' section, with all the seeded players having an easy entry into the second round.

Second seed Somdev Verman thrashed lucky loser Alon Moses 6-1, 6-2 and fifth seed Tushar Liberhan defeated Anshuman Dutta 6-0, 6-1.

Lucky loser Vijit Sehgal made the most of his chance to outplay Nishendiren Sivendiren of Sri Lanka 6-4, 6-3 to move into the next round.
