Digvijay Singh leads Order of Merit

Digvijay Singh who won the Surya Nepal Masters in Kathmandu Nepal recently climbed to the top of the Order of Merit list in the Hero Honda Indian Golf Tour 2003-04 season, displacing Arjun Singh.

The 31-year-old Digvijay who has seven top-ten finishes after missing a solitary cut (The Hindu Open) has now amassed Rs 5,02,483 from eight starts.

Arjun Singh who despite having played only three events had enjoyed the top position for almost two months. The Delhi pro is now in second position with earnings of Rs 4,81,500 while four-times 'Champion golfer of the year' Mukesh Kumar is lying third after garnering Rs 4,78,850 from eight events.

Uttam Singh Mundy is in fourth position with winnings of Rs 3,79,562. Pappan and Rafiq Ali, who have had a good season thus far, are in the fifth and sixth spot respectively.

The Delhi pro Pappan has retained his position with a total earning of Rs 3,34,925 while Rafiq made a remarkable jump securing the sixth spot after being 10th before the Surya Nepal Masters, where he finished as runner-up along with Gaurav Ghei.

Meanwhile, Gurbaaz Mann is well on his way to win the coveted "Rookie of the season" award as he leads the field with winnings of Rs 1,07,520 from seven starts. The Chandigarh lad is in 22nd position after displacing Sandeep Syal who is now in the 28th position with gross earnings of Rs 90,618.
