Draw enough to see Juventus into Cup final

Juventus drew 1-1 with AC Milan at a damp Delle Alpi stadium on Wednesday to secure a place in the Italian Cup final with a 3-2 aggregate win.

Juventus striker Marcelo Zalayeta (L) and A.C. Milan's Kakha Kaladze Leading 2-1 from the first-leg, Juventus left strikers Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet on the bench and a constant downpour and small crowd of 15,000 added to the low-key nature of the game.

Milan took the lead in the 27th minute through a fine header from Spanish striker Jose Mari who rose well to connect with a high ball into the penalty area from Andrea Pirlo.

But Juve's Italy midfielder Gianluca Zambrotta put the home side back on level terms on the night with a superb strike as he cut in from the right flank and skipped past three defenders before firing a left-foot shot into the top corner.

Five minutes from time Milan's Spanish substitute Javi Moreno missed a great chance to take the game into extra-time when he shot wide from point-blank range after a fine run and low cross from Brazilian Serginho.

Juventus will face the winner of Thursday's semifinal, second-leg between Brescia and Parma. Parma lead 2-0.
