Nandini Devi snatches bronze

India's Nandini Devi won a bronze medal in the women's 53 kg category at the 14th Asian senior women's and 33rd senior men's championships in Chonju, South Korea, on Saturday.

Devi finished third in snatch, and clean and jerk with lifts of 85 kg and 100 kg respectively to win the bronze. Her total winning lift was 185 kg.

China's Qiu Hongxia won the gold, lifting a total of 205 kg (87.5, 117.5) and Raema Lisa Rumbewas of Indonesia won the silver, with a lift of 192.5 kg (85, 107.5).

On Friday, Kunjarani Devi opened India's account in the event, winning the gold in the women's 48 kg category.

China swept all the gold medals up for grabs in both the men's and women's events.

In the men's 69 kg category, Zhang Guozheng won the gold with a total of 345 kg (1190) and in women's 58 kg, Wang Li won the gold, lifting 205 kg (92.5, 112.5).
