The first Olympics exposure for taekwondo came in 1988, at Seoul naturally enough, as a demonstration sport. Taekwondo remained a demonstration sport in 1992 at Barcelona, its last appearance until now. Korea (South Korea) still dominates the sport but other countries are begining to catch up.
