Bale impressed one and all the last time Spurs met defending champs Inter Milan in their group qualifier two weeks ago.

Bale's hat-trick brought the Spurs back into the match, and now as both teams go into Tuesday's Champions League return leg at San Siro, the focus is on the Welshman.

"Bale played a great game," Inter president Massimo Moratti said after his stunning treble.

"In the past we have tracked him but now he's worth an awful lot more. We were a bit shocked by that Tottenham comeback."

Rangers, Valencia fight for second spot

Valencia and Rangers lock horns at the Mestalla Stadium on Tuesday in a crucial Champions League group C match.

Both sides are fighting for second place and a spot in the knockout phase of the competition.

Rangers are in second sitting a point above Valencia after a tense 1-1 draw in Glasgow last time out.

The stakes are high for the return match in Spain as the loser would have an uphill task to qualify for the last 16 stage.

The Indian cricket team arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday for their first match of the three-Test series against visitors New Zealand, starting November 4 at the Sardar Patel stadium in Motera.

The Indian team practiced at the stadium in the afternoon.

For Tendulkar this venue has always been a happy hunting ground . He had scored his career's first double century at Motera stadium against New Zealand in 1999.

He also celebrated his 20 years in Test cricket at the same stadium by scoring a century against Sri Lanka in November 2009.
