Aisam and BopannaRohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi reached the final of a Grand Slam for the first time in their career after scoring a facile 7-6(5), 6-4 win over Argentines Eduardo Schwank and Horacio Zeballos at the US Open on Wednesday.

The Indo-Pak express will now take on the Bryan brothers in the decider.

Top seeds and two-time champions Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan advanced to the final with a 6-1, 6-4 win over the Spanish duo of Marcel Granollers and Tommy Robredo.

The win extended their winning streak to 13 matches. The Americans will be looking to win their ninth major crown.

Bopanna and Qureshi had earlier scored a 7-5, 7-6 (2) win over 10th seeds Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman in the quarterfinals.

Reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals this year was the best ever performance for the 16th seed Indo-Pak pair before this memorable win. Bopanna is the only Indian left in the draw and was delighted with his good run in the last Grand Slam of the season.

"I can't describe the range of emotions we went through today, it was such a closely fought match and to come out victorious in the end, it's just unbelievable," Boppana said.

The Indian though said it was not easy to mow down their opponents. "With both our opponents being over 6ft 7inches tall it wasn't easy handling their serves but we played confident, positive tennis throughout."

The unseeded pair of Schwank and Zeballos had knocked out Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi in the second round.
