Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-haq-Qureshi erased a one-set deficit against Janko Tipsaveric and Viktor Troicki to storm into the semi-finals of the St. Petersburg Open.
The second seed Indo-Pak pair came from behind to eke out a 3-6, 7-6(4), 10-3 win over their unseeded rival in the quarter-finals, on Thursday.
They will now fight it out with third seed Slovakians Filip Polasek and Igor Zelenay, who beat Pablo Andujar and Michael Russell 6-1, 6-3 in their quarter-finals of the $663,750 hard court ATP event.
Meanwhile, veteran Rushmi Chakravarthi could not progress beyond quarter-finals in the singles and ended runners-up in the women's doubles event of the $10,000 ITF tournament in Kuchings, Malaysia.
Chakravarthi, only surviving Indian in the singles, lost her last-eight contest 5-7, 0-6 to her doubles partner Elodie Rogge-Dietrich of France.
She later reached the final of the doubles event but could not win the title.
The top seeded pair lost 3-6, 2-6 to second seeds Sandy Gumulya of Indonesia and Sabina Sharipova of Uzbekistan in the summit clash.
Chakravarthi and Sania Mirza had won the bronze medal in the women's doubles event of the recently concluded Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.
Earlier, Rishika Sunkara, Sowjanya Bavisetti, Nimisha Mohan and Kanika Vaidya had lost at different stages in the singles event.
