David Beckham (right) and England's Theo Walcott acknowledge the crowd after England's international friendly againt Mexico at Wembley Stadium on MondayEngland boss Fabio Capello has rejected suggestions that ace midfielder David Beckham, who has been ruled out of the World Cup with an Achilles injury, could be catapulted into his coaching team in South Africa.

"David Beckham will not be on my coaching staff. Absolutely not. He will stay with us and he can help us during the World Cup," said Capello.

"But there will be no coaching. You have to respect the other coaches," The Mirror quoted Capello, as saying.

"We have to speak with him because we have different projects. He can do things around South Africa. He is an example for everyone else," he said about Beckham.

"There were so many times when he could have gone on holiday but he preferred to be with us. He is dedicated to the England team and to the 2018 World Cup bid," Capello added.
