Holders and FA Cup favourites Chelsea were handed a home tie against Cardiff City when the fifth-round draw was made on Sunday.

It was the third time in succession Chelsea were pitted against Championship (second division) opposition in this year's competition having beaten Watford and Preston North End in rounds three and four.

Manchester City, who beat Scunthorpe 4-2 on Sunday, will host Stoke City who knocked out Arsenal.

Aston Villa, who find out this week whether they face Manchester City or Manchester United in the League Cup final, travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers or Championship side Crystal Palace who must replay after a 2-2 draw.

League One (third division) Leeds United's reward should they beat eight-times FA Cup winners Tottenham Hotspur in a replay after a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane, will be a trip to Premier League Bolton Wanderers.

The liveliest fifth-round clash could be on the south coast where Southampton, now in League One, host bitter rivals Portsmouth who are bottom of the Premier League.

Notts County, the only League Two (fourth division) side left in the competition after their 2-2 draw with top flight Wigan Athletic, will travel to Fulham if they win the replay.
