Indian women archers in World Cup final

Indian women's recurve archery team comprising Dola Banerjee, L Bombayla Devi and Deepika Mahato has made the final of World Cup Archery Stage-III at Ogden in the US.

India will take on world champion Korea in the summit clash.

According to information received, sixth-ranked India outplayed Georgia 220-201 points in the first round, ousted Spain in the quarterfinals at 218-182 and overcame second ranked China in the semi-finals 215-206 on Friday.

Deepika, the youngest member of the team, had won the world cadet recurve individual gold medal last year at the same venue.

The fancied men's recurve team missed out on medals, going down to Italy in the quarter-finals.

Tarundeep Rai, Mangal Singh and Kapil lost 216-219 after defeating Colombia at 215-213 in the first round in a 16-team field.
