Shiv Kapur (73) and Gaganjeet Bhullar (75) on Saturday made the cut despite returning over-par cards in the second round of the weather-hit

Ballantine's Championship, which has been reduced to a 54-hole tournament. Both Kapur and Bhullar share the 34th spot with totals of one-under 143. However, three other Indians in fray missed the cut which was set at one-over.

Seasoned pro Jyoti Randhawa was among those who missed the cut after carding a two-over 74 to total 146. C Muniyappa was a further stroke adrift after also turning in a 74, while Anirban Lahiri was right at the bottom following a disastrous 85 that left him 18-over overall.

Opening round leader Marcus Fraser of Australia carded a two-under 70 for a two-day total of nine-under 135 to take a single shot lead.

Fraser regained the lead from defending champion Thongchai Jaidee and Argentina's Tano Goya who had earlier taken the clubhouse lead by signing for matching 136s.

Northern Ireland's Gareth Maybin matched his opening 68 to take equal second alongside Thongchai and Goya at the $2.9 million showpiece sanctioned by the Asian Tour, European Tour and the Korea PGA.

The opening round fog disruption on Thursday where almost six hours of play was lost led the tournament to be reduced to three rounds so as to ensure a Sunday finish.
