The celebrity wedding of Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik will take place on Monday, April 12, as the two families advanced the much hyped marriage by three days.
Originally, the marriage was to take place on April 15 although stories on the re-scheduling of the marriage were doing the rounds.
Sania's spokesperson Rucha Nayak said the nikah will be performed soon but did not divulge the venue details.
"I will like to confirm that the nikah of Sania Mirza and and Shoaib Malik will be taking place shortly. The venue and
timing cannot be confirmed as of now for security reasons," Nayak told reporters here.
"This is a very personal thing in Shoaib and Sania's life. We hope you respect the sentiments of their families," she added.
Nayak though gave details on the outfits the couple will wear for the nikah.
"Sania will be wearing a red saree that her mother had worn 25 years ago for her own nikah. Shoaib will be wearing a black sherwani which was made by designers Shantanu and Nikhil," Nayak said.
Giving details of the marriage-related ceremonies she said that the Mehandi is scheduled for Tuesday, Sangeet on April 14 and reception will be held on April 15 as scheduled.
