England football star David Beckham was held up for three hours at the Los Angeles airport as his bags were searched.
The 34-year-old footballer, who flew in from London on Thursday, was fretting and fuming when customs at the airport pulled his 12 hold alls apart, reported Sun online.
"David wasn't pleased. He ranted at airport security. He even asked his handlers to do something but there was nothing they could do," said a source.
The previous night, Beckham pulled off a brilliant performance for England against Belarus at Wemble, in a World Cup qualifying match. He then went out to celebrate with his friend Dave Gardner at London's Nobu and Bungalow 8 until 3am.
Beckham has been staying in the US for about two years now with his wife Victoria Beckham and three sons. He plays for the American Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy.
