Indian Davis Cupper Rohan Bopanna is in line for his second ATP Challenger doubles title this season after making the final of the Aachen event in Germany along with his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi.
The second seed Indo-Pak pair scored an easy 6-3, 6-4 win over unseeded Lovro Zovko and Yves Allegro in the semi-finals of the euro 42,500 event.
They will next meet winners of the other semi-final between third seeds Philipp Marx/Igor Zelenay and top seed Horia Tecau/Michael Kohlmann.Bopanna and Qureshi won their first and only doubles title together this year in Thailand in March.
Somdev-Purav lose in Knoxville Challenger
India's title hopes at the ATP Challenger event in Knoxville, US went up in smoke after Somdev Devvarman and Purav Raja and Harsh Mankad and his Filipino partner Treat Conard Huey lost in their respective doubles semi-finals.
Somdev and Purav went down 2-6, 3-6 against South African pair of Raven Klaasen and Izak Van der Merwe.
Second seeded Harsh and his Philippines' partner lost 3-6, 6-7(3) to Germany's Martin Emmrich and Andreas Siljestrom of Sweden.
All the four players got 27 ranking points each and earned $540 each as prize money.
