Shot putter Om Prakash and long distance runner Surendra Singh won a gold medal each as Indian athletes bagged two gold, three silver and four bronze medals in the Asian Grand Prix second leg in Kunshan (China), on Wednesday.

Om Prakash hurled the iron ball to 19.48 metres to improve upon his personal best (19.36m) outside India which he set four days ago in the first leg at Suzhou (China).

He, however, failed to cross the Berlin World Championships 'B' standard of 19.90m.

Surendra, who bagged a gold in 3000m at Suzhou, fetched his second gold of the Asian Grand Prix series by winning the men's 5000m race in the second leg.

He clocked 13:40.45 to win the race though his effort failed to touch the Berlin 'B' standard of 13:29.00.

India won all the medals in the race, with Kashinath Aswale (13:44.32) and Sandip Kumar (13:47.45) winning silver and bronze respectively.

In a closely-contested 400m run for men, India bagged both silver and bronze.

Bibin Mathew was second, clocking 46.48 seconds; he was followed by his teammate VB Bineesh (47.12s).

Krishna Poonia, who have already qualified for Berlin, and national record holder Seema Antil won a silver and bronze respectively in the women's discus throw by clearing 57.89m and 56.85m respectively.

Asian Games gold medallist Song Aimin of China won the gold with a throw of 63.45m.

In men's high jump, Hari Shankar Roy finished third with a leapt of 2.15m.
