The Indian ace, who made an early exit from French Open, scored an easy 6-1, 6-2 win over her Belarussian rival on Tuesday night.
She next faces local 11th seed Anne Keothavong.
In the one-hour-22 minute long match, Sania saved as many as nine breakpoints though she dropped her serve twice.
Sania saved all four breakpoints in the first set and broke the Belarussian twice.
In the second set she dropped her serve twice but also broke Tatiana four times to seal the match.
