Dipika Pallikal and Surbhi Misra powered India past Canada and into the semi-finals in the 13th World Junior squash team championship in Chennai on Tursday.

Anwesha Reddy disappointed the home crowd, losing to Samantha Cornett 6-11, 11-6, 8-11, 2-11, but Pallikal beat Laura Gemmel 11-8, 11-3, 11-9, and Surbhi beat Jennifer Pelletier 13-11, 11-8, 3-11, 11-6 to wrap the quarter-final match.

India and Canada were on equal terms at one-all and everything depended on Surbhi as she went in to play in the third singles match.
