Amritraj to meet Baghdatis in Vancouver Open

Prakash Amritraj advanced to the second round of the US $100,000 Vancouver Open ATP event after a straight set win against Croat Ivan Dodig but his doubles journey ended in the opener itself.

The unseeded Indian won 7-5, 6-3 to set up a meeting with Cyprus star and third seed Marcos Baghdatis.

However, he and Pakistan's Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, seeded third, lost the opening match of the doubles event 2-6, 2-6 to unseeded Kyu Tae Im of Korea and Marinko Matosevic of Australia.

Also making an early exit was Harsh Mankad and his American partner David Martin after losing their first round match 6-7(7), 2-6 to the Israeli pair of Amir Hadad and Harel Levy.
