Somdev Devvarman erased a one-set deficit to stun second seed Josselin Ouanna and make the main draw of the US $1,402,000 Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington.
The ninth seeded Indian beat his French opponent 2-6, 6-1, 7-5 in the second and final qualifying round.
He will face fellow-qualifier Yuichi Sugita in the first round of the main draw in the hardcourt event.
If he crosses the first hurdle, he will face sixth seeded Croat Marin Cilic, who got a bye into the second round.
