One killed in police firing in Karnataka

Night curfew was clamped in Sahapur in Gulbarga district after one person was killed and another injured in police firing.

The police resorted to several rounds of firing when caning failed to control a 2,000-strong mob.

The violent crowd damaged several houses and shops following the alleged molestation of an upper caste girl, according to Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) T Madiyal.
