Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg, father of Rabbi Gavriel who was killed during the November 26 terror attack intends to rebuild the Nariman House, a Jewish settlement, that was badly damaged during the attacks.

During his two-week visit to Mumbai, Holtzberg intends to seek donations from Indians to rebuild Nariman House that
was one of the targets of the terrorists.

"We have already collected some funds from the US and Europe and now we expect some donations from Indian community so that we can rebuild the house. At least Rs 10-crore is required to build the house again including the security aspect," Holtzberg said.

"We will restore the building but it will definitely not be demolished," said Levi Jurkowicz, who was temporarily made
in charge of the building.

The Rabbi and his wife Frieda also visited the Nariman House to inspect the damage. In last year's terror attack, the terrorists targeted the building and killed 29-year-old Gavriel along with his wife Rivka. Their two-year-old son Moshe was rescued by his nanny Sandra Samuel.
