The youth identified as Mahesh, a resident of Bangalore was arrested by the police at the Chancery Hotel in Bengaluru when he tried to barge into the hall where the meeting is taking place.
Police sources told rediff.com that Mahesh had tried to barge into the venue. When questioned, Mahesh told them that he wanted to meet with Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa. Mahesh claimed wanted medical help as he had injured his leg.
Meanwhile the national executive meeting of the BJP got underway at the Chancery Hotel in Bangalore with party president, Rajnath Singh inaugurating the event. The meeting is expected to discuss a host of issues pertaining to the startergy the party would adopt in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections and also elections to be held in the various states of the country.
