The Bharatiya Janata Party expects to win between 119 and 129 seats in the forthcoming Karnataka elections.
Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu claimed that his party would get a comfortable majority and will face no problems in forming the government in Karnataka on its own, led by B S Yeddyurappa.
Naidu told mediapersons that the BJP had commissioned a professional organisation to conduct a survey among the voters and the survey had predicted that the party would emerge victorious in the forthcoming elections.
However, Naidu refused to name the organisation.
He added that according to the survey, the Congress would get 60 seats while the Janata Dal - Secular would win only 20 seats.
Speaking about the earlier survey, conducted jointly by a television channel and a newspaper, which had predicted that the Congress would win the polls, Naidu said that this was far from the reality. He pointed out that similar pre-poll surveys had made wrong predictions in other states.
