The city police have been receiving its fair share of hoax calls since the serial blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad but the strangest yet has been a caller from Ireland who has made two hoax calls so far.

"The caller who has not identified himself has made two calls so far and speaks in Marathi," a senior police official said today.

However, police sources said the caller had sometimes identified himself as Joshi.

"The caller has threatened that blasts will be carried out in the city but refuses to specify when and where," he said, adding that further action was being contemplated against the individual.

The city police, Anti Terrorism Squad and others have received a large number of hoax calls since the blasts and callers have threatened the office of a national daily, the British Consulate, railway stations and a residential colony among other areas.
