Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra, admitted that the three members of parliament who shocked the nation by showing that they had received Rs 1crore in cash allegedly from Amar Singh and Ahmed Patel, had taken the money to L K Advani before handing it over to deputy Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal who was then presiding over the proceedings of the confidence motion.

"The three members Ashok Argal, Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora had told the speaker in detail how they were offered money by Amar Singh and Ahmed Patel. The Speaker asked them to make a written complaint. They have completed that formality on Friday," Malhotra said.

The three members had written to the speaker jointly to confirm the statement made by them earlier, however Malhotra refused to release the contents of the complaint made by the members.

"We would have to off wait for the directive of the speaker. We would like to know why the concerned channel is not airing the contents of the so-called CD,"  Malhotra said.

Malhotra agreed that the channel which shot the CD was taking too long to give final shape to the CD.

According to Malhotra it was the channel which had offered to shoot the incident but the channel alleged that they were merely doing their job. The channel maintained that it was the BJP members which had approached them to make the CD.
