A Muslim body fighting for rebuilding Babri Masjid in Ayodhya will not organise any protests on Saturday, on the anniversary of the demolition of the mosque, to express solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

The All India Babri Masjid Re-building Committee said it will, instead, send a memorandum to President Pratibha Patil urging her to order the rebuilding of Babri Masjid at its original site in Ayodhya or refer all disputes related to the issue to a Supreme Court for final order.

"We will not be holding any demonstration or dharna on the 16th anniversary of the demolition of Babri Masjid due to the recent Pakistan sponsored terrorist attacks in Mumbai and to extend solidarity with the families of the hundreds of innocents who lost their lives or were injured in the attacks," AIBMRC president Mohd Younus Siddique said in a statement.

Stating that President Pratibha Patil would be moved to transfer the Ayodha disputes to the apex court, Siddique said, "Whatever the decision (the Supreme Court takes, it) will be acceptable to the community as the community has full faith in Constitution, Judiciary and law and order,"

Siddique said the memorandum will also appeal to the President to order the armed forces to attack all terrorist training camps in Pakistan 'without any delay', he said, adding this would end the fear of terrorist attacks in the country.
