A candle light vigil was taken out at Hyderabad on Monday to pay homage to persons who lost their lives and were injured in the twin blasts, which occurred exactly a year ago.
The Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee, headed by its general secretary, Lateef Mohammad Khan, expressed solidarity the families of the people who lost their lives in the twin blasts at Gokul Chat and Lumbini Park in which over 40 persons were killed.
After taking out a peace march and a candle-lit vigil, the committee demanded that the state government fulfill all its promises and also provide ex-gratia, jobs and medical treatment to the victims.
They also sought that the Muslim community not be targeted uncessarily in the name of investigation and also demanded that the actual culprits be brought to book.
