Telugu super star Chiranjeevi will make the formal announcement of his party's launch on August 17 unveiling the name, flag and the agenda of the party. It will be followed by his maiden public meeting on August 26 at Tirupati.
Vinay Kumar, a member of Chiranjeevi's core committee, told the media at the newly opened party office in Hyderabad on Tuesday that the party aims to bring 6 to 7 lakh people to the meeting from neighbouring districts of Nellore, Kadapah and Kurnool.
However he evaded the questions about the party's structure and program saying, "If I speak about it, what will be left for Chiranjeevi to say".
The party has already started preparations for the massive public meeting at Nandikunta ground, a 120-acre area in the vicinity of Tirupati temple.
However the manner in which Chiranjeevi opened his party's office in wee hours of Monday reducing it to a private affair has not only left the supporters dumb struck but also provided a stick to the other political parties to poke fun at Chiranjeevi.
The centrally air conditioned building has sophisticates facilities including a luxurious chamber for Chiranjeevi, a reception, a tightly-guarded main entrance and a visitors' room looks more like a corporate office rather than that of a political party. There is a well-equipped media room which can seat 80 people. But the gates of the building were shut for the media even on the second day.
The building will also have closed circuit cameras through which Chiranjeevi sitting in his chamber will be able to see goings on in the entire building. Every room in the building has portraits of historical personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa and A P J Abdul Kalam. Every room also has an LCD television.
