H D Deve Gowda may have created an impact of sorts when he made the speech in Parliament, which was debating whether to dissolve the Karnataka Legislative Assembly or not.
While his Janata Dal-Secular boys seemed impressed, the man who was the biggest victim of his ditching thinks otherwise.
B S Yeddyurappa, the Bharatiya Janata Party chief minister of seven days said, "Gowda was lying when he spoke in Parliament."
Yeddyurappa, who has embarked upon a statewide rally to preach to the people about the misdeeds of the JD-S and the Congress, said that the speech made by Gowda was far from the truth.
He was referring to the point made by Gowda in which he said that the stamp paper culture was in fact started by the BJP and not the JD-S.
Gowda had said that the BJP wanted the JD-S to give its assent to a set of conditions written down on a stamp paper before proceeding with the formation of the government.
The BJP had, however, said that it was the JD-S which had asked them to sign on the conditions which were inked on a stamp paper.
"Would I as the chief minister of the state go to the JD-S with a stamp paper and ask them to sign on it," questioned Yeddyurappa.
"I still maintain that it was the JD-S which introduced this stamp paper culture in Karnataka," Yeddyurappa said.
Yeddyurappa also made a scathing attack over the JD-S targeting BJP legislator Sriramulu.
He said, "I wanted Sriramulu in the ministry. Kumaraswamy objected to it. Who is he to object to what the BJP wants. Did we set terms and conditions on the MLAs the JD-S wanted to induct into the ministry. Sriramulu is a young and enthusiastic man who has done a lot of work for the party."
Sriramulu who is a BJP MLA from Bellary had rocked the government when he alleged that Kumaraswamy had tried to kill him.
Even as the BJP continues to pour out its worries before the people, there seems to be problems creeping in.
Senior BJP leaders such as Jagadish Shettar, D H Shankarmurthy and Eshwarappa are reportedly unhappy with the manner in which Yeddyurappa is taking decisions.
They have complained that Yeddyurappa does not take them into confidence before taking any decision and adds that the former CM is running the party like his own private party.
These leaders are expected to take up the matter with the party high command in New Delhi.
