Pakistan on Monday condemned the recent bomb blast at the Mecca mosque in Hyderabad as a "terrorist act", but "resented" insinuations linking the country with such incidents.

"As for the Hyderabad incident, we regret the deaths of so many innocent people. It was a terrorist act, but we reject all baseless insinuations," Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam told reporters in Islamabad, replying to a question.

"It is a pattern that whenever a terrorist act occurs in India, unsubstantiated, irresponsible allegations start flying around, and in the history of Pakistan-India relations, not even one incident has been proved to be backed by any Pakistani elements," Aslam added.

"The pattern is that Indian security officials and Indian newspapers start making allegations on the basis of briefings or official sources and we object to that and we resent that. This is not responsible behaviour," she said.

On the investigations into the Samjhauta Express blasts, she claimed that Pakistan has not received any information from India.

"We have received nothing despite repeated assurances," Aslam said.

About India rejecting the recent resolutions of the foreign ministers' meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Conference on Kashmir in Islamabad, she said, "Kashmir is not an integral part of India. There are Security Council resolutions on Kashmir and it is a disputed territory and it is recognised as such by everyone except India."
