Gujarat cadre Indian Police Service officers D G Vanzara and Rajkumar Pandiyan, arrested in connection with the killing of Sohrabbudin Sheikh in a fake encounter, have been suspended from service, official sources said on Sunday.
The orders suspending DIG (Border Range) Vanzara and Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Pandiyan of the state intelligence wing were issued on Saturday, sources in the state home department said in Ahmedabad.
